Ball at the Flagstone Creek Hall
A healthy crowd of more than 50 dancers travelled to Jondaryan Woolshed’s Flagstone Creek Hall for a Ball on Friday night (8 November).
Dancers came from across the Downs and beyond to shake off the week’s worries on the old wooden floorboards.
The usual selection of dances, including the Canadian Three Step, the Pride of Erin, the Maxina and many waltzes were performed.
Paul Schutt of Dalby judged the main competition of the night, with help from co-judges Chris Paterson and Velveta Amour-Paterson, both of Biddeston.
The Queen of the Ball was awarded to Imelda Fanning, while Ennio Moresco took home Beau of the Ball.
Both travelled to the dance from Toowoomba.
An encouragement prize went to Vivien Meacle of Toowoomba who was the youngest attendee.
