Bartranz Petroleum Acquires Kings Fuel Supplies in Tenterfield
In a significant milestone for both businesses, Bartranz Petroleum has officially acquired Kings Fuel Supplies in Tenterfield.
This transition marks a special full-circle moment for Bartranz owners Justin and Gretta Barton, as Kings Fuel Supplies was their company’s very first customer.
Greg and Wendy Kings, who have served the Tenterfield and Glen Innes communities with dedication and excellence for many years, are now stepping into retirement. The Barton family, alongside their experienced team, is committed to maintaining the same high standard of service that customers have come to expect.
Bartranz Petroleum has experienced remarkable growth since its beginnings as a single-truck operation in 2017. Today, the company operates a fleet of 11 tankers, servicing areas as far north as Bundaberg and as far south as Armidale, NSW. This expansion is a testament not only to the Bartons dedication to quality service and strong customer relationships but also to the hardworking team behind Bartranz. Their skill, commitment, and teamwork have been instrumental in the company’s success.
The acquisition is particularly meaningful to Justin and Gretta, as it was Greg and Wendy’s belief in them as business owners that helped keep Bartranz afloat in its early days. During one of the worst droughts on record, Kings Fuel Supplies remained a loyal customer, providing much needed support when the company was still finding its feet. Now, years later, Bartranz is proud to carry on the legacy that Greg and Wendy built.
Justin Barton himself will be taking the lead in Tenterfield, ensuring a seamless transition, while the Allora Depot will be left in the capable hands of Brad Eyre, the company’s longest-standing employee, and newcomer Dave Bateman. Gretta Barton and Kylie Hay will continue managing the accounts, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
