Clifton State School Easter Parade
On Thursday the 2nd of April, the students from Clifton State School, joined by the kindergarteners from Treasure Island put on an Easter Parade along King Street.
A great, snaking line of students made its way past the King Street shop fronts on Thursday morning.
The streets were lined with those just looking, workers out for a break, and proud parents cheering on their kids.
The Clifton Community Health Centre (CCHS) took a busload of its residents who were elated to see the parade, waving at the students with big smiles across their faces.
The students were all wearing some sort of Easter bonnet.
Handmade by the students, they were all fantastic, wild and creative celebrations of Easter.
Waving and smiling the whole time, the students seemed to relish the chance to get out and about in the community, bringing some Easter cheer to King Street for the end of the week.
It was all smiles, fun and cheer for those who stood on King Street for about 20 minutes.
Before long it was all over, everyone having had a great time.
The students headed back to school, those working headed back their shops and work sites, and the busload of CCHS residents sat at one of the public benches and enjoyed some coffees.
Well done to those who put in the work to make this parade come about.
