Discount Chemist Opening dazzles
Community members beat the heat by travelling to Oakey’s Discount Chemist’s grand opening on Saturday (9 November).
TOP: Retail Manager Cassie Peters and Pharmacist/Owner Sai Pasha are happy to have extra space in their store.
Pharmacist/owner Sai Pasha said it was a big decision to open a discount chemist in Oakey, but the large response from the community was a good sign that it was the right choice.
Member for Condamine Pat Weir cut the ribbon to open the event, and mingled with community members.
Oakey Men’s Shedders cooked some IGA sausages on bread on for a gold coin donation in the Cherry Street carpark, while Flick Café kept everyone cool with some much-needed slushies.
Many families with children came to take part in the face-painting and the petting zoo.
