Success at State Titles for Cambooya student

Cambooya State School student Joe Haggarty completed a memorable 2025 State Athletics Championship recently in Brisbane.

Joe competed in the Under 13 Shot Put and Under 13 Discus events. 

He started his competition with the Shot Put event coming away with a very impressive bronze medal after some great competition, however the best was yet to come.

Next, Joe competed in the Discus, which is his preferred event.

Throwing an amazing 43.3m, Joe was awarded the State Title and Gold medal for his age group.

Joe is currently training hard in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Australian Athletics Championships in Perth in April.
