Top honours for Take Note at Dalby Eisteddfod
Fourteen members of the Pittsworth singing ensemble Take Note headed west on 13th June for the annual Dalby Eisteddfod. Months of rehearsals paid off as they were awarded first place in all four major groups: the Choral Choir, the Community Choir, the Folk Singing Choir and the Sacred Song.

As well as the larger ensemble sections, Take Note entered two songs in the Small Choral Group winning first and third place, along with second and third placings in the duets, first place in the Vocal Trio section, and a first and second in the Vocal Quartets.
Thrilled with their efforts, the members of Take Note were very grateful for the help and training received from Mr. Andrew Doecke, a highly regarded choral conductor and accompanist in the Toowoomba region.
Mr Doecke attended many rehearsals with Take Note and conducted the major pieces in the Dalby Eisteddfod.
Take Note meets every week to rehearse and is very grateful for the dedication of Mrs Cheryl Fowler, its highly experienced pianist and accompanist.
With another successful Dalby Eisteddfod accomplished, Take Note is now turning its attention to the end-of-year concert which will be held at the Pittsworth Function Centre on the afternoon of Sunday 25th October.
Proceeds from this concert will be donated to local Pittsworth charities.
